Posted - 26 Jan 2009 : 15:30:54 ...mmmh, can't seem to be able to close XMM after a Live Update BEFORE clicking on the button...
I always did it before; now I can't...
Where does the program downloads the update file ?
Can I launch it myself once downloaded ?
...sometimes I click OK and forget to close XMM before update setup, and I have to do it all over again. If there is a folder where the update file is downloaded, I would prefer to just double click on it.
Otherwise, can you please check on the 'close before update' issue of XMM 6.7.4; maybe it's just me...
Thanks

You are right, I will try to modify it in future relases, maybe by opening the folder where the update is and letting user double click on it if it want.
Thank you!

Posted - 26 Jan 2009 : 15:40:39 uh, OK, found out what my problem was; another pop-up window just below the update setup window needed to be clicked OK to allow for XMM to be closed. No task manager or other could do the trick.
...anyway, I guess this becomes more of a suggestion than a bug report :
Please let me / us know if there's a location folder for the update file for those times when I / we make a mistake and click / don't click in the right sequence, to avoid doing it all over again.
OR / AND
Please, allow for XMM to automatically close / update / restart itself after a NEW RELEASE update ( you can put a WARNING in the Live Update panel just before the New Release check starts; we already have to click the 'Check For Updates' button anyway, so we could use the pause to read the new warning ).
...just my 2 cents.
Thanks !=) |
