Posted - 18 Nov 2008 : 20:37:44 Hello Alessio,
Thanks for this (folder Monitor) feature. I tried to use it and have an issue. I am not sure if its specific to me. If other got it working then please advise and post here.
All my movies are stored in a sperate pc (other than the one that has XMM). I am not using Mapped drives to read the movie files and have added following to my folder monitor.
\\mediaserver\disk1 \\mediaserver\disk2 \\mediaserver\disk3 ...and so on
However when I start the XMM nothing happens.

Thank you!

Posted - 27 Nov 2008 : 17:18:26 Hello Alessio,
Great release. I can confirm that UNC path folder monitor is working. Thanks a bunch.
Question...If the file name is say Matrix.xvid.720p.avi then the folder monitor saves Matrix.xvid.720p as the movie name in the database. Using any script for searching then uses Matrix.xvid.720p as movie name. Is it possible to have a setting to pick folder name as movie name. I am not sure how others organize movies (I would love to hear other approach) but I orgranized each movie in its own folder so I have
Movies\Matrix\Matrix.xvid.720p.avi Movies\Terminator 1\Ter.[ddr].dvdrip.mkv
With the setting to pick parent's folder name, it would be very each to use scrip to search for movie.
Once again. Great realease. Thanks a bunch. Regards, Shaurya |

I can confirm this too - UNC doesn't work. The only way I got around it was by mapping the same drive letter on all my PC's that accessed my films directory and then dropped the use of UNC's |

I pressd the search buttnon for search in the folder monitor. It howerver doesn't do any thing. Based on the testing here is the summary-
1. If using mapped drive (drive has a drive letter)...folder monitor works. Once you start XMM folder monitor kicks in and works perfectly. 2. If using UNC drive (//drive1/moive)...folder monitor doesn't appear to be wokring at all. Nothing happens. Even if I press the search button manually.

Posted - 22 Nov 2008 : 10:50:13 Hi Shaurya,
If I have understand, XMM do not detect automatically the new movies you insert in these disks?
Please open the Folder monitor, and start to search for new movies automatically and let me know if XMM find new movies or not.
Thank you!
