Posted - 31 Aug 2008 : 14:33:00 Hi all, after a complete system reinstallation I get an error when starting XMM. The (translated) errormessage says "Information about absolute path is necessary", after clicking 'ok' the app starts up normally. So far I did -complete reinstallation of XMM -deleting the settings-key in registry (HKCU\Software\eXtremeMovieManager) -copying the data-folder from My Documents to Program folder but nothing helped. Any ideas? Regards

Posted - 17 Sep 2008 : 18:58:45 Hi Alessio,
yes, no luck - updating and reseting the configuration didn't help, same problem. My OS: XP Pro SP3 (the error showed up only after I updated/complete reinstalled windows with SP3, though I don't think that there's a direct connection since nobody else gave that feedback)
The specific sequence: 'Welcome' screen - 'Loading main window...' - error message - 'OK' - the sequence completes. Regards |

Do you still have the problem?
Please try to reset the XMM configuration by clicking on the "reset" function in the Options menu

Posted - 09 Sep 2008 : 18:04:38 Thanks for your reply Alessio, but we're not talking about the same thing. Path to my standard database is set and XMM opens it right but only AFTER I click OK in the messagebox:

This error is persistent. Regards |

Posted - 09 Sep 2008 : 14:42:06 Hi,
When the window of path selection appear you have to manually select the path where XMM is installed, usually is under the "My Documents\eXtreme Movie Manager".
XMM then should start correctly.
Please let me know,
