Hello Alessio!

I've just installed the new version.
Problems:
- I can't find the options menue (where I can change language etc.)
- When I go to "My entire collection" tab the dropdown menues change (Edit menue disappears). Going back to one of the other tabs doesn't bring back the "Edit" menue
- Mini statistic: can be improved, for example bold font type for the text over the coloured bars. At the moment the display is not so clear than before. In the second row from the botton there is no "legend" (in the german version).

Bye byte
Mawu

Mmmm, it's strange because the function is in a separate thread.

Please wait at least 2 minutes and see what happen. After that, turn off the check for updates function if you still have problems (under the options window)

Hi!

I'm having a problem starting the program. I updated to the latest version and it worked fine for a day or two but now it freezes trying to check for updates???

IMDB complete is not getting actors information, I updated today and have this problem.

i.e.: Don Cheadle in Hotel Rwanda shows - Don Cheadle <a href="/character/ch0006539/">Paul Rusesabagina

Yes, there is a function to replace for example "i:\" with another string.

Just go in "tools->multiple changes at once->replace a word in files"

so, here another just spotted bug.
I just noticed that some (not all) of my "movies file entries" which were
"c:\2 movies\[moviename.ext], have changed into
"I:\movies\[moviename.ext]"
I have no clue when this has happened, I did check some backups but there the error already was, so its was pre version 6.

I do would like to know if there is a way to change this all back, some sort of search and replace or multi edit? I have all movies in one directory.
wolph42 Posted - 26 Oct 2007 : 00:29:13
well, this is a bit weird... that was what I was expecting it to do, but it didn't, which is the reason I reported that it didn't do anyting.

But just know I tried again, just to be sure, and it works...?
No idea why, maybe because before I just did some repairs, remove double entries, compact, etc... after which the activebars didn't work and closing it down and reopening it again makes it work. But that's just a guess...
Alessio Viti Posted - 25 Oct 2007 : 17:44:00
Yes, when you click on the bars you make a "filter".

For example, if you click on the green bar where is writte "Seen" XMM will show you only movies that you have seen.

Should work correctly, isn't it?

Hi,

let's join the club, it seems that the active database has (the percentage bars) are active buttons and when I click on them, xmm is calculating something but the end result is the same (that is nothing happens or better, nothing changes).

I do have vista by the way.

Hello. I just install the new version but the problem with the export persists. When i export my movies with html template 5(or 4 are the same in the new version!)some movies they do not exist at all and the last ones does not have covers! Is it a bug?
Mawu Posted - 24 Oct 2007 : 22:31:01
Hi Alessio!

Thank you very much for the quick fix. Now everything works fine with the dropdown menues.
The only thing now missing: advanced database functions should be also in "File" menue.

Mini statistic: "With Covers" is still hidden (see my screenshot). Maybe you can try the same font like in the upper mini statistic topics and use a bold font for the white percentage values. BTW: "Total Filesize" like in xMM 4.8 is a often requested feature for mini statistic. Maybe you can integrate it in future builds.

Thank you and Bye bye

Thank you Mawu!

The problem is that the update has not correctly installed the INI files, this is why you cannot see it.

Btw, please download AGAIN the update, I have replaced it just now (I am uploading the full release in this time)

Hi Alessio!

If you can, please send me a screenshot of the xmm main window (just to look at the bold font of moni statistic). I know there was problems with windows vista, but I was thinking that was fixed.

No, no. That's not "my" problem (BTW: I still use XP). I only think that it should be better to have a bold font, because the coloured bars seems to me too dominant (and the letters to "weak").

PS The options menu should be in the "Preferences" menu, can you see it?

Hmmm, I only have "Datei(=File)","Bearbeiten(=Edit)","Ansicht(=Views)","Werkzeuge(=Tools)", "Hilfe(=Help)" menue, but I can't see any preferences. Maybe I'm blind

Bye bye

Hi Mawu,

Thank you for this fast report!

If you can, please send me a screenshot of the xmm main window (just to look at the bold font of moni statistic). I know there was problems with windows vista, but I was thinking that was fixed.

Thank you!

Alessio

PS The options menu should be in the "Preferences" menu, can you see it?

As I'm not able to edit my first post:

I don't like the new active database panel, because most of the time I hide the treeview/search panel (when using monitors < 19''). Then the extended database functions and the info about the active database are missing. At least the extended database functions should be available in the "File" dropdown menue.

Bye
Mawu
