Posted - 15 Mar 2007 : 12:23:43 Before 5.7.7.0: If I clone a movie that was already updated from the Internet, and then change its title (a way of adding new movies and reusing fields like status, media, codec etc), the import does NOT override the previously imported fields. But here's the "funny" part: I clear Original Title, Site ID, Web Imported and Direct Links BUT the Import puts everything back to what it was before I cleared the fields. THEN, in addition to fields I cleared before, I cleared Cover and Trailer (on Files tab) but the Import restored everything back as before except that this time the Cover file name matches the movie name I want but the image is still of the movie I'm trying to override. Finally, I used "Clear ALL fields", but then it imported only covers and a very few movie fields and it won't update any other field.
I'm sitting here with a bunch of question marks above my head. I have no idea how to explain this "magic" and no way to recover from it. Apparently, I'll have to delete and re-enter dozens of movies now and won't be able to use Clone in the future.
Do you have ANY suggestion how to work around this problem?

Posted - 19 Mar 2007 : 03:19:08 Thanks Alessio. It works but not completely. The old cover is still attached to the movie and the new ones were added. Perhaps, there should be a setting in XMM that allows for clearing *ALL* the fields when import starts. |

Posted - 17 Mar 2007 : 06:40:24 Hi Rajko,
I have found the problem: You have to delete also the Custom Field 8, where IMDB Script save the IMDB Link. This is why after you import the movie you have the information back.
Thank you,

Posted - 15 Mar 2007 : 12:42:22 Get this: after I cleared fields, I used a different script and I got even spookier results. For example: Movie tab shows the "original" movie data, but Original Title that was removed before running the script is still empty ???) New covers have been added but the original covers are still there. More over, when I go to the record of the original movie, ITS covers changed in the same way - they now show ADDITIONAL covers.
And here's the icing on the cake: I'll run Internet update again and will use the ORIGINAL script and all the data is back to the original state before I changed/cleared anything.
This are serious application and database issues and I'm completely freaked out. I can't trust anything that I enter or change in the database. I have 1100 records in it and I'm going into panic mode. HELP!!
