Posted - 15 Feb 2007 : 03:54:16 Hi, I just updated to the latest version and have several issues:
1) Is gives me several error messages like this one

(also with tempactor.htm and tempserie.htm) during startup and when browsing TV shows or actors ("K:\" is my home folder).
2) Why is there a XMM folder in My Documents at all??? At the very least, I would have hoped that you can say where the directory should be put. But to be honest I don't really see the point of having all that stuff in the My Documents folder at all.
Kind regards Markstar

Posted - 16 Apr 2007 : 01:37:24 After watching this thread since the beginning (having the same problem as everyone else) I expected with the new release to see a solution.
Now I read about re-installing XMM or editing the registry etc.
I don't want my data files mixed in with my program files. I want my data kept together and in one place.
When can we expect a permanent solution to this long outstanding and VERY irritating problem |

Posted - 15 Apr 2007 : 22:05:25 That was the solution. I think the problem was the name of the installation directory in spanish xp. Instead of program files i had the program in "Archivos de programa". I have reinstall in program files, then I have copied all my documents eXtreme Movie Manager folder to program files\eXtreme Movie Manager.
Thank you very much. |

Posted - 14 Apr 2007 : 19:39:09 Please open your "My DOcuments" folder. Here you should see a folder called "extreme movie manager".
Now move all subfolders here in the "program files\extreme movie manager\" folder.
Please let me know if works.
Thank you,
Alessio |

Posted - 14 Apr 2007 : 12:13:19 It doesn't work even installing the last release 5.8.1.0 from the scratch.
I only view the films using the Quick Edit View, and if I changes to the Movie Card View Tab I have a "Cannot find 'D:\\eXtreme Movie Manager\tem_movie.htm'. Make sure the path or Internet address is correct." *.
What more can I do?
Thanks Alessio |

Posted - 14 Apr 2007 : 10:16:16 Hi,
Do you know Windows Registry? if yes, please open it and delete this key to reset XMM configuration:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\eXtremeMovieManager
Let me know,

Posted - 15 Mar 2007 : 16:48:36 Mmm, when XMM start it try to find the "eXtreme Movie Manager" folder in the document's path. If doen't find it will ask you to manually select it.
In next release I will add the button to select this folder also from configuration window.

Posted - 10 Mar 2007 : 08:41:21 Hi Guys,
Please sorry very much, I was out for work this week and I cannot answer to email.
I am fixing this problem, probably I will make an option in configuration to use another folder instead of "my documents".
Thank you for your patience,

Posted - 05 Mar 2007 : 19:31:52 I have this problem too since I upgraded to 5.7b6. IT SUCKS. I hope they fix it soon. I also tried a 100% clean install and same problem.
Guess it happens to us who do the smart thing of placing "My Documents" on another drive |

Posted - 18 Feb 2007 : 20:05:05 Yep, full install doesn't change the problem.
So there is no way to manually change the directory?
Edit: BTW, no change in 5.7.6.0 |
