Posted - 22 Dec 2006 : 13:51:29 when importing a.avi , it takes first place in the filelist. when re-importing a.avi , it is placed on second place, first plase is cleared.
when importing a.avi and b.avi at the same time to a new movie, a blank place is there a.avi should be, and b.avi is in the row below.

Posted - 08 Feb 2007 : 23:43:00 Hi Guys,
I have found the problem: if you UNCHECK the "Delete old values of codec if present" all works correctly.
Now I will fix it.
Thank you again,

Posted - 07 Feb 2007 : 12:44:12 Alessio: please check out the steps to reproduce (above)
also: related bug: If you choose to "add" another files to a movie, and have checked to delete old information. if you had 2 files in the movie's file-list, and re-read, the two first fields will be empty, the new files will appear in next fields, as if the old text-boxes still contained filenames. |

Posted - 05 Feb 2007 : 10:54:39 also "nothing to add". I use the exact same sequence - with the same result (sometimes when selecting 3 files - the second slot is populated with the right second file, but 1 and 3 are left blank, and filesize only takes file 2 into account). |

Posted - 05 Feb 2007 : 00:23:49 Nothing to add, I do the same sequence. First add new movie, then from the movie window add files and so on as described above. |

Posted - 04 Feb 2007 : 01:33:20 from main menu: 1.- click icon that says "add movies" 2.- click icon "add files" 3.- click button "select files to read" 4.- (select two AVI files, (hold CTRL down in order to select two)) 5.- click "read codecs of selected files.
this gived me this result: "Movie file" - (first field) is blank "Movie file" - (second field) contains the name of first file. "Total Filesize" - contains the size of *one* file, in MB, with 4 decimals.

Posted - 03 Feb 2007 : 16:50:49 5.7.3.0 did not fix it.. it should be mentioned in each version history on this site as "known issues" - as many of us waits for this to be solved. |

Posted - 01 Feb 2007 : 14:29:51 I have had this problem for a long time too. Most of my movies are 2 or 3 files - and when doing a file import it always errors. The only field that gets populated is file 2, and file size is only based on this file.
Hope to get a fix - as this has worked flawlessly in earlier versions. |

Posted - 20 Jan 2007 : 14:08:20 Hey, I found this topic so I write here. I have the same problem in the newest version of XMM. When i use "read files" option when adding new movie it works great when there's only one movie file. When I import two files in the same time, after importing I can only see the path to the first CD in the second edit box (in movie's "files" tab). I have to copy it manuaaly to the first slot and change the name thus the first slot directs to the first CD and the second to the second file. Moreover when I try to add many files for one movie (for instance 12 files) after importing I cannot see any of them in the "files" tab. All edit boxes are empty. I always do it when adding new movie (not editing).
Another thing. I have a problem with playing movie files from XMM directly using the grey/blue button in the left frame of XMM. When the file is on HDD there's no problem, however when I have my movie on CD/DVD then normally the button is grey. When I click the tray comes out and I put the right CD/DVD. The path on this CD/DVD is the same as it is in the movie "files" tab but still XMM does not want to play the movie, instead it makes the tray to come out again. So is there anything else (besides path) important to play it from CD/DVD ?? (maybe media label or CatalogNo) ??? |

Posted - 22 Dec 2006 : 21:51:11 I've had the same issue. Don't know whether it always does the same but sometimes in fact, the first movie file textbox is empty and the second is ok when I import two movie files for one movie in XMM. |
