I'm having trouble when reading files from hard drive (add movies | lookup your hard disk for movies). i can select folder and xmm will find movies, but when i click 'import selected movies' it'll only get the first two before xmm abends with Microsoft window error:

"eXtreme Movie Manager has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I've been choosing not to send the error report.

This error happens if I do one movie at a time or a batch - after the second one, the program bombs out like above. I've tried different files that use different codecs. (BTW this also happens when doing "Get Codec Information".) Any ideas?

This is on xmm 5.2.8.0, Win2k

Tried different versions of mediainfo.dll, sometimes with no dll at all. While using without mediainfo.dll gave no errors, it didn't read codec info. Reinstalled dotnet2 and patch to no avail. Also tried to install XMM and run as administrator, but no luck. Found out while 'recovering' from administrator install that some folders' security didn't allow writing, so changed to full control and my login can now add movies left and right without nary a problem.

Yay!

I'm using win 2000, XMM 5.7.9.0

(Another clue is not being able to choose any scripts to run, though they existed in the correct folders - which were also read-only to my login.)

Hi,

I think that the problem is related with Mediainfo.dll file.

I am making tests these days to find a solution.

Thank you!

Alessio
