I have installed the version 5.1.9.0 and I don't know if it's since the installation or already with previous version of XMM but now, my access database file is more than 1,2 GB. I have only 240 movies, 10 series for a total of 1000 episodes and 8468 actors. Is it normal to have a so big size for the database file ?
Thank you very much. Cyrille |

Posted - 05 May 2006 : 15:36:53 Hello,
I have tried to compact the database with access. Now my database is around 650 Mo. I think I have found the problem. With the last script for Allocine.fr, it seems there is a bug with the import of actors. I have made a little print screen of XMM http://www.cmaurice.com/print.PNG for a movie but I have a lot of movie with the same problem. XMM imports some actors from Allocine.fr and at a moment, it import the same actors a big number time. I don't have count the number but it's hundred and hundred time and for each movie so that's why I think, my database is so big... Cyrille |

This is not normal, please use the function inside XMM to compact and repair databases (file menu).

Posted - 05 May 2006 : 05:15:03 if you have MS access open it with access and select compact and repair database from the tools menu. Im sure it will get fixed in the next version though
