I use as code my e-mail address (i'm an old user) and i receive the message "The remote server returned en error (407) Proxy authentication required". I'm behind a proxy and my internet connection settings are right. Please help.

Posted - 12 Apr 2006 : 11:20:18 OK, so another question. Which ports does XMM need to have opened to work properly. In proxy section I can fill in proxy port, does XMM use any other ports for communication. In case it does, it may be the problem since where I'm currently trying to use XMM I have most ports blocked (except 8080 and few others). |

Posted - 12 Apr 2006 : 10:40:05 Hi to all,
For problems related to Authentication please write me an email, so I can better check your Keys and fix the problem.
@Bill Petrozzi : I have write you an email with Key, please let me know if you have received it
@Kipcior: It's strange the XMM cannot exit to internet, it uses the Internet Explorer engine, so if you are able to navigate you should be able also to authenticate and import info from web. About your PCs, you can install XMM in both, no problem.
Anyway, please write me emails to fix authentications problems.

Posted - 12 Apr 2006 : 10:11:55 I have the same problem. Cannot authenticate (in fact can't do anything requiring internet connection) due to the error listed in the topic. I filled all the fields necessary in the internet connection options section but nothing happens. The data filled in are 100 percent correct. I also tried to restart XMM in case of re-reading options but had no effect. There is also a small thing worth mentioning. The field password is not in fact a password type which makes text visible which is not good :)
Also have question about the license. I use two computers. One is my PC and the second is my laptop. Do I have to buy a second license to install XMM5 on both machines ?? It's important to add, that I'm using laptop in few places (home, work) and that may influence on different ip's you may get from my copy of XMM. I'd rather be sure before you see some suspicious trails. |
