Posted - 10 Apr 2006 : 12:14:34 Here are some bugs I found:
1. When I add some new category - XMM remembers it for that entry (for example SHORT FILM) but it doesn't remember it so you can just choose it later for other entries. It would be much easier if you could edit list of categories. 2. I have a really big db and now imported to xmm 5.1 I need to categorize it - but there is no option to multiple change categories! Or I can't find it? The easiest way would be to just select bunch of movies and choose the category you want (same way as it works for individual entry) 3. If I want to see in grid films by only one category (for example only documentaries or only anime) - how should I do that?
4. Qucik find (by typing first letters of movies in grid) doesn't work! It was very useful in 4.8! |

Posted - 10 Apr 2006 : 19:57:58 Hi Levander,
Can you write me how much movies do you have (if you want you can also write me an email), so I can better understand why XMM is slow in changing Categories.
Thank you.

Posted - 10 Apr 2006 : 19:46:11 1. COOL! 2. I can see that now! great!
3. I tried this also but I'm not very happy. Changing between categories is very very VERY slow and my machine got very slow...
4. I can see that... but it is not the same as in 4.8. I don't even see the point: if I press "a" it SELECTS the first movie in grid which begins with "a" (and previous movie is selected!)- if I press again "a" it's not moving anywhere! If I press another letter it goes on next movie with that letter and again is selected with all those previously found. And it only finds by ONE letter.
Thanks |

Posted - 10 Apr 2006 : 14:40:42 Hi!
1-You can edit (for now) the category in Tools->Manage Lists->Edit categories
2-Yes, there is, just select all movies you want and go in tools->Multiple changes->Change Category
3-You can Group-by Category (under the Tree ad left there is an option to group.by fields)
4-Yes, there is this option. If you put your cursor to grid and press a "letter" in keyboard you will see that you jump to the movie. Anyway, I am working on it to load also the movie informations
Bye!
