Hello,
First of all, I want to congratulate you on your great tool for keeping track of our collection of TV series and movies. This was just what I was looking for.
However, all my TV series are Japanese and every time I try to enter Japanese text, it fails to show it correctly. All I see is just squares like [][][][][][]
Is there any way to use Asian (Japanese) with this database? I've tried in both on an English WinXP and Japanese Winxp but the result remains the same.
If you can fix this problem, then you'll have a new buyer pronto!  |

Well, I don't know if this is helpful, but Japanese (and other asian) languages use double-byte 16-bit character sets whereas western languages (like English) use single-byte 8-bit characters.
I've noticed that in the html-view only the characters are displayed as they should be (since there IE uses it's 16-bit character support I suppose)
When using software that supports 16-bit characters, even under a western WindowsXP, the Japanese characters should be displayed when using a little software like NJ Star Communicator.
In case you need some text to do some testing, here you go:
これは日本語です
(click view -> encoding -> Japanese (autoselect) under Internet Explorer to view the characters correctly)

Hi Kyo,
I am sorry, but I don't know how to fix this problem. I haven't any japanese software, so I cannot make tests.
Anyone know how to solve this problem?
