Hello

I have problems when Win7 User account control is turned on.
(with UAC turned off application start normaly). Report state>
eXtreme Books Manager has stopped working - Value=System.UnauthorizedAccess

On the same computer eXtreme Movie Manager works perfectly.
Any idea other than UAC turned off_?

thanks a lot
Proteus

Hello Proteus,
your userprofil should work to install XBM, but not the program files directory. It is the same problem like in XMM. They are not build to respect the windows security settings, which don't allow writing into the program files directory for a normal user, so that malware can't be imported there by an application. Till Alessio fixes this problem the best way is to install it in an new directory in c:\ or any other drive. Like C:\XBM or C:\Portable Programs\XBM. Their it should work. Which is not the right way, but still far better then runing it as an Administrator, which is dangerous. But make shure that you give yourself or all the users of XBM write and change rights for the install folder.

hi Alessio

Well, I tried two different paths>
classical c:\users\*** and c:\Program files(x86)\***
Also for test, installation was done on on clean installed Windows7,
both x86 and x64. But the same situartion if UAC is on.

I can send you crash report if suitable for you.

thanks
Proteus

Hello Proteus,

Where is installed XBM? Try to move or install it in the same folder of XMM.

Let me know,

Ale
