I did not appreciate having PORN placed on my computer by your software! You took good movie names like Gladiator and filling the data fields with PORN and downloading PORN photos to my hard drive. Maybe, you need to be reported and have your site blocked from the USA!

You need to FIX this.

The problem was in the scripts supplied with the software. The first sites checked were adultdvdempire.com and a few others. I don't remember them and I would have to reload the software to discover it again. I did not choose or select these sites, it came as part of the download! I noticed what it was doing when it found porn covers for 2001 A Space Odyssey, Gladiator and a few pages of others. I left the program running overnight and found these the next day. Needless to say, I deleted EVERYTHING! Then started over. This time I stopped the script engine went to the main program and selected Magicscript and clicked on select default script for movies followed by default to TV shows. Both had porn sites in the first four entries! I didn't put them there, I did remove them and all .it and anything else I did not recognize. The real question is, if it was not intentional who sabotaged your software to put these in place and why! Is there an employee who didn't know they were modifying customer files when they used your system to get their stuff? I don't know, but the company needs to get to the bottom of this and then get out ahead of it. How many other unsuspecting customers are out there. How far are you "At Risk." I know laws are different in every country but unexpected porn would be a problem to all customers with families. I certainly hope an administrator would take this seriously. Really, you want to blame me when it showed up with your software!

As far as I know (and I had to reinstall XMM this week again after a Sage2.2 virus!) there are no default script for importing set. That has the user to do himself.
If you proof me wrong I will tell inform Ale, the sole programmer, about. Me personally don't use them, too. And even adult movies are movies...
And yes, there are porn scripts available as there are user who want these. But names like Adult*.txt or Gay*.txt should say of what context the script is. Until now nobody has protested.
By the way, do you use the internet? There is more unexpected porn on some sites than in any software together.

Beside that I did not have blame you but your general comment that the software puts porn on your computer and your harsh reaction.
As said before: if there is set the default script as a porn script then I will inform the programmer about! But still the user himself has to check which scripts he wants to use.

I did a complete uninstall and reinstall and have screen shots so you can see how it installed. However, I cannot find a way to upload them to you. Is there some flag which needs to be set on my account to allow this? I tried in Firefox and Chrome without success. Is there something on my end I need to accomplish? Can I email the images?
Thanks

Unfortunately you can't upload pics here in the forum directly. You have to put them on any server and include the link in yout post.
Anyway I have already informed Ale to check it in the sourcecode.

The second link shows the problem. I sent both so you could see where I was headed. It is not a programming problem, the system works fine, it is a configuration problem in the setup of the distributed software. When I changed the preferred scripts everything worked fine. Thanks for your help JDommi, I hope this helps you.

Well, then I have to ask you how these script should be named in your opinion. Removing them is no option as some users have asked for such scripts. The category should be explained by the icon before each script...

I am not familiar enough with your product however, it seems the default should be populated with known sites such as imdb.com and themoviedb.org and all other sites be left as options to add. If the porn sites had shown up in a list to add to the search criteria it would not have bothered me. What bothered me is as soon as I loaded the program and pointed to my movie database, porn style covers showed up and it was for moves which are well known like "Gladiator" and "2001". I then had to figure out how to change it. I feel the default should be non-porn and you can add it if you wish.

It my case, if my computer had been searched due to my job and they had been found, I would have lost my job and the ability to find another in my field. It would not have mattered someone else caused the problem. Further, if one of my young grandchildren used the program to find a movie it would have been before their eyes. I feel we should err on the side of caution then if someone wants porn sites they can add it not make everyone else remove it. My other four movie managers I have tried and used did not operate in a style which filled my database with junk.

I tried to reload the software and rerun to give you as many examples as you wanted but it says my software is un-authorized and I could not download I may need to enter a SS# again.
This is sad because I liked much of what you are doing and it looks like it cost me $20+ to find out. I do appreciate you looking into this matter.
